Simplifi HTPC Amplifiers Now Being Sold by Elemental Designs

Elemental Designs picked up a new line of home audio amplifiers that are designed for use with an HTPC. The digital version of the Simplifi amplifiers with on-board sound cards allow you to use the USB connection and send all of the six or eight audio channels directly to the amplifier to have it converted just prior to amplification.

The Simplifi amplifiers are available in 5.1 and 7.1 versions with and without internal sound cards. The "digital" version that comes with the sound card does not need another sound card in the HTPC, all of the processing can be done through the on-board sound card.
