NAD’s new C355 integrated stereo amplifier takes the “classic” NAD approach to styling. No VISIO-style curves or shiny bits here, just a single character line to break up the black brick monotony. The C355 builds on the foundation of NAD’s award-winning C352 and includes several enhancements originally developed for the Masters Series M3 amplifier, including NAD's Distortion Canceling Circuit in the output stage and the BEE Clamp in the power supply.
Additionally, the C355 features an improved tone control circuit, a revised PCB layout for reduced distortion, and NAD's PowerDrive circuit which automatically senses the connected speaker’s impedance and adjusts the power supply for the specific load. The C355 produces 80 watts per channel, with 140 watts of maximum output. It has seven line inputs, a mini-jack input for portable players, and two sets of preamp outputs for bi-amping or up to two subwoofers. The C355 will be available in March, and is priced around $800 (£400).
