JL Audio Metawire

JL Audio has released a new wire for car audio power applications called Metawire, designed to solve the problem of having two buy two different colors of wire for positive and ground leads, or worse, using the same color wire for both with tape or shrink wrap to differentiate one from the other. Metawire is made from tinned OFC copper for corrosion resistance, and features a patent pending peel away frosted red or frosted blue outer jacket that allows the wire to be converted from positive to clear ground wire as necessary, eliminating wasted wire. Metawire will be available in 1/0 ($8.99/ft), 2 ($5.99/ft), 4 ($3.49/ft), and 8 ($1.49/ft) gauge sizes in bulk rolls and retail packs, and will also be included with all JL Audio ECS amplifier power kits (in frosted blue only). Availability is scheduled for Q2, 2008.
