Vibe Audio has released a new 15" competition subwoofer called the BlackDeath, capable of spreading a wave of deadly SPL across medieval Europe. The BlackDeath features dual 4 Ohm voice coils, an 18 pound double stacked magnet, cast alloy basket and a multi layer hi-roll foam surround. Power handling is rated at 2500 watts RMS, and an earth shaking 7500 watts peak. Two different cone types allow the BlackDeath to be tailored to the application.

The paper/fiberglass cone version has greater mass and superior damping for deep and controlled bass. Its rated frequency response is 10Hz to 850Hz, with 92.3dB efficiency. The carbon fiber cone version has a lower mass and higher sensitivity, and is designed for maximum SPL. Its rated frequency response is 15Hz to 850Hz, with 94.3dB sensitivity. Vibe recommends partnering the BlackDeath with their Bass 5 amplifier.
