Proficient Audio M8 and M2 Amplifiers

Proficient Audio has announced two new lightweight M series power amplifiers featuring signal sensing/voltage trigger remote turn on, 2 Ohm stable capability, high-current discrete amplifier designs, and pass through outputs. The M8 amplifier produces 35 watts x 8 and the M2 amplifier produces 125 watts x 2. Each amp produces its rated power with .05% THD, +/-3dB. The M8 and M2 have estimated retail prices of $900 and $700, respectively. Both are expected to start shipping in the 4th quarter of 2008.
