Custom Headphone Stands and iPod Docks from S² Audio

Custom headphone stands are quite a commodity these days and there aren't many places to get them from. Recent startup S² Audio is offering completely custom hand-built headphone stands made from exotic woods for hardcore headphone junkies. They also offer a $42 finished plywood stand called the Sundance for the more budget conscious crowd. Don't let the word "plywood" throw you off though, they are made from Birch veneered 3-ply and are some great looking stands.

Another cool product they have is the DockIt iPod dock. The DockIt is made from exotic woods with a lacquer finish and designed to be a king's throne for your iPod. The high-end docking station comes with a protective felt lining where the iPod can sit and rule the peasants in comfort. The audio signal coming off of the iPod is pulled from the line out feed in the iPod's 30-pin connector and redirected to gold plated RCA jacks on the back. There is also a USB jack on the back for power that will accept an AC adapter. Modifications can also be made for an extra charge so the unit works with the Red Wine Audio iMod.

The DockIt sells for $399 and is currently available on the S² Audio website.

Thats actually pretty cool, it looks great.

Would be nice if they had a built in plug for a 12V power adapter/charger as not everyone will have a usb port around to charge.

Pricy, yes. It would look great next to that wood turntable.
