CSS is quickly building an impressive series of drivers for those who love low distortion speakers. The CSS SDX7 and CSS SDX15 have already been drawing a lot of attention; now they've got a 10" driver for those who prefer them.

The CSS SDX10 bears many similarities to its big brother, the SDX15. The motor features the patented XBL^2 motor topology and a combination of aluminum and copper shorting rings to lower inductance. The cone is a lightweight paper and carbon fiber blend, while the suspension consists of a semi-progressive spider and a 30mm nitrile rubber surround. The voice coil is a 6 layer, 2.39" 4 ohm coil using copper clad aluminum to keep mass in check. With a published Xmax of 18.4mm and rated power handling of 300 watts, the SDX10 fills the medium output, low distortion category nicely.

The end result is a wide bandwidth, low distortion subwoofer that is sure to please. And the best part? The SDX10 is available for pre-order at only $100 plus shipping. Expect your SDX10 to ship the week of March 24th.

Man, if I didn't already have my project planned I would jump on these. They look awesome. The price is right as well, $100 for the pre-order! Someone snatch these up and write a review.!

Sadly, my budget doesn't allow for such projects. That is such a steal.
