Oobject’s Favorite Anechoic Chambers

Gadget ranking site Oobject has listed twelve of the world's most interesting/unusual anechoic chambers for readers to rank. The winner, unsurprisingly, was the one that featured the semi-nude model, though the concept behind it is rather interesting. The chamber was used to measure exactly what sounds clothes make as they are worn. Other notable entries are the Benefield Anechoic Facility in the Mojave desert, which is the world's largest and contains almost a million reflection absorbing cones, the US Navy's Radar Reflectivity Lab with its 60ft. ceilings and TDK's white tiled semi-anechoic chamber which could serve as a modern art gallery.
