Dayton BR-1S Speakers Only $99 Per Pair at Parts Express

Parts Express has the Dayton BR-1S Shielded 6-1/2" 2-Way Monitor Kit on sale for $99 per pair. The kit comes with everything including the internal dampening and finished cabinets. The crossovers need to be assembled, but that's easy enough with the included directions and your own surgical precision soldering. Shipping is not included in the price, so you guys in Alaska and Hawaii may want to hold off on this one.

If you are in the market for some budget surround speakers or bookshelf speakers, these are definitely worth taking a look at.

*Note: It doesn't mention it on the product page, but the enclosures are ported.

I got a set of these for my dad for xmas and we assembled them as a team. they are pretty good sounding and a steal at that price point.

Great gift and a cheap way to learn about DIY speakers.

Oh man, wonder if I can convince my dad to pick up to pairs of these. Then all I'd need to do is build him a center channel.

I use the same enclosures for my surrounds, picked them up at the PE Tent Sale for like $4 a piece of something ridiculously cheap...
