Fertin Acoustic 20ex Model 7 Field Coil Driver

The newest driver from France's Fertin Acoustic is the 20ex Model 7. The Model 7 has no surround; it instead uses carbon wires in a field coil design, which Fertin claims reduces the effect of cone break-up for lower distortion, superior bass and transient response, smoothness, and clarity. The Model 7 can be used on its own in a variety of enclosure types, or paired with one of Fertin's 12", 15" or 18" woofers. Bring your Visa card, as the price is $2,210 each.

That is beautiful. I would love to design an install all around one of these. If it weren't for the $2k+ cost I would have bought at least 1 right now.
