Onkyo has announced their new TX-SR606 receiver to replace the ever popular TX-SR605. The new TX-SR606 features 1080i video upscaling, two additional HDMI 1.3a inputs (four total), Audyssey 2EQ automatic calibration and Onkyo's new Music Optimizer circuit. The built-in seven channel amplifier is rated at 90 watts per channel and can even be broken up into two different zones, a stereo setup in one room and a 5.1 setup in the other that can be run simultaneously. The receiver comes Sirius Satellite Radio ready and for audio it utilizes 32-bit DSP processing and 192 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters on all channels.

The TX-SR606 receiver will be available in black or silver this month with a retail price of $579.
