Marantz AV8003 Preamplifier and MM8003 Amplifier Combo

I gotta give it to Marantz, this combo looks sexy as hell. The AV8003 Networking AV Preamp/Processor on top is compatible with nearly anything you want to send it and has v1.3a HDMI inputs. The preamp also features built-in video processing that provides de-interlacing and up-conversion to 1080p. A full copper plated chassis and extensive internal shielding make this unit nuclear detonation proof so you'll be able to watch movies in your post-apocalyptic bungalow.

The MM8003 8-Channel Power Amplifier on the bottom has a rated output of 140 watts per channel and can handle low impedances. The amp offers both balanced XLR as well as unbalanced RCA jacks for input, and offers the same nuclear fallout resistance as the preamp so you can watch Blast from the Past over and over and eat radioactive popcorn. Both the amp and preamp are expected to be available later this Summer.

What Hi-Fi is also reporting that the highly anticipated Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray player has been pushed back to a September release and will be priced at less than $3,000.
