The inside of the hotel was gorgeous and had a very cool tropical atrium.

Jason from Sleek Audio has been trying to keep this under wraps, but my persistence paid off. Pictured above is their new wireless audio system that uses Kleer technology instead of Bluetooth for CD quality wireless sound. Up to four people can listen to one transmitter at once and the device will hold a charge for up to 10 hours. It is charged via a USB cable and expect to see it retail for around $150.

Sleek Audio's new custom molded in-ear monitors that will retail for $299.

Smyth Research was demoing some very interesting technology that simulates surround sound in headphones.Yeah, yeah, I know this has been done before... but not like this. This setup was their Xbox rig to hear all of the sound effects and the brain behind it is the black box below. They were using STAX headphones for the demo and the package (headphones and brain) is expected to retail for about $3,000 in October. I'll go into more detail on Part 2 with the pictures of their full blown 5.1 demo room.

One of the most beautiful amps I've ever seen. Yes, that is a car key used to turn it on and it has a total of 13 tubes.

Red Wine Audio was showing off their new Isabella battery powered tube preamp which should be available shortly.

The Clari-Fi from Intunition was a pretty interesting little gizmo. Basically it smoothes out low-quality MP3's to make them less harsh. I got to demo it and the device removed the background noise and cleaned up the high-end quite a bit. It isn't going to turn a 128kbps track into CD quality, but it does help if you are listening to lower quality MP3's.

Head-Direct.com's new tube amp that will be released in June.

The new HEAUDIO EH-1.2B electrostatic headphones. Retail is expected to be about $1,500 and production will begin in the next few months. I must say that these were extremely impressive, I didn't want to take them off.
