Spectron has updated their Class D based flagship, the Musician III Signature Edition, to new MK2 status. The new Spectron Musician 3 SE MK2 Amplifier features a completely redesigned power supply with 100 filtering capacitors, a redesigned input stage, a redesigned reconstruction filter and RF filtering circuit, improved current transfer and improved vibration control, higher quality coupling capacitors and improved internal wiring.

Spectron claims that all of the updates provide a better soundstage, faster transients, and improved bass and midrange response. The Musician III SE MK2 can be used either as a stereo amp or a monoblock. It produces 600 watts per channel @ 8 Ohms, and is stable all the way down to 0.1 Ohm. It's priced at $7,195. Owners of the old SE can have their models upgraded to MK2 for the difference in cost between the new and old model ($695).
