Buttkicker Going Mainstream

This past weekend the NHRA performed testing using a wireless Bluetooth transmitter for a Buttkicker low frequency audio transducer. The ultimate goal would be to give the viewers at home the ability to feel the action through the seat of their pants. The only downside is that they are planning on making it a subscription based service, on top of the cost of the equipment (LFE transducer and amplifier).

Although it sounds cool, the biggest problem I see is that anyone who watches NASCAR or NHRA is going to pick spending money on beer rather than a "vibrating chair thingy" any day of the week.

Don't be surprised if you see the adult industry take an interest in the Buttkickers next. I'm sure they could get pretty creative with marketing them.
