HSU ULS-15 Subwoofer

HSU Research has been hinting at a new low-end monster they have had in the works, and it has finally been released. The ULS-15 is a high-powered 15" subwoofer in a compact sealed enclosure. HSU is claiming a low-end that is capable of reaching "10 Hz in most rooms."

Look closely at the picture above and you'll notice an antenna on the 1000 watt Bash amplifier. Yup, this bad boy is wireless (with the option of running wired). Up to four subwoofers can be used simultaneously with the wireless channel selector on the amplifiers.

The driver in use is a XBL^2 custom creation from Acoustic Development International (Dan Wiggins).

The ULS-15 starts at $1,299 in a satin black finish with options available up to a $1,499 piano gloss black finish.

Know where I could purchase a CeraDome Tweeter from the ADi site?

It was brought up on here before (see link below) and I believe there is a minimum order of 100 or so. I don't think they are currently available anywhere in small quantities, but Kevin Haskins of DIY Cable/Exodus Audio is working on selling his own version. From the sound of it, they may be available pretty soon.

Interesting sub, compact and sealed is the opposite of what HSU usually does.

The XBL^2 tweeters from ADI are available in 1000 pc quantities. Better hope Kevin gets his version out soon so you can buy two or them if you want. :o)

Reminds me of my old subwoofer that came with a 5.1 setup from creative. With out the imitation/real wood finish.
