Ancient Audio has followed up on their 300B powered reference Silver Grand Mono amplifier with a new more affordable monoblock design called the Single Six. The Single Six uses a power supply based on the one used in the Silver Grand Mono, though housed in a single chassis with the amplifier section rather than the Silver Grand's separate power supply section. The chassis is made from two pieces of Ancient Audio's usual gorgeous granite, with a damping layer in the middle to tame the rock's natural resonance.

The Single Six is built around the Russian 6C33S, chosen for its stability and low resistance. It's a Class A single-ended design featuring E88CC NOS Driver Tubes, Teflon-Tinfoil V-Caps, and an automatic bias stabilizer. Power is rated at 18 watts into 8 or 4 Ohms. The Single Six is priced at just under $16,000 per pair (€10,000/pr).
