Boston Acoustics has released a new line of speakers dubbed Vista (not to be confused with the Microsoft variety). Vista replaces the previous E-series as Boston's flagship. All Vista models feature high-frequency molded MDF cabinets finished in black piano-lacquer, with wood veneer end caps available in gloss cherry or gloss black. Optional bird's eye maple and ebony finishes will be available in October. The top, bottom, and sides of the Vista speakers and the sides of the Vista subwoofer are swept back in an unusual wave shape, which is said to reduce standing waves and cabinet resonances.

The Vista range consists of the three-way floorstanding VS 336 ($1,699/ea), the VS 240 monitor ($399/ea), the three-way VS 325C center channel ($899), and the VPS 210 subwoofer ($1,699), which features a 10" woofer with a 3" voice coil, a 10" passive radiator, and a 500 watt Energy Star compliant Class D amplifier. In the fall, Boston will add the VS 224 LCR ($699/ea) and the VS260 monitor ($699/ea) to the lineup.
