Cowon Gets Sexy

Cowon MP3 players and portable media players have traditionally been more about functionality over form, with sound quality, open format, and massive codec support making up for somewhat generic designs. Cowon appears to be trying to change that with the new S9 Curve.

The S9 Curve (rumored, though not confirmed to be the replacement for the D2) features a slick curved metal case, a 3.3" 480 x 272-pixel AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with gesture control support, Bluetooth (presumably with A2DP streaming capability), TV-out, a tilt sensor, and 40hrs of battery life for music. Cowon hasn't yet released the available storage capacities, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 8, 16, and 32GB versions.
