Why Wii Music Will Suck

October 18, 2008 by Dave Kay

Sarcastic Gamer, the guys behind the very funny parody infomercials for the Microsoft Surface table and Wii Fit, have released a new one about Wii Music. Wii Music allows players to "simulate" playing more than 60 instruments, including the violin, cowbell, piano, guitar, trumpet, bongo drums, maracas, and marimba by stomping on the Wii Balance Board and waving the Wii Remote around.

There are no indicators of any kind to show how well the player is performing, no notes to follow nor any particular set of buttons to press in any particular order. You basically wave your arms around, and the game plays music for you (a bit like The Beamz). There's no track list yet, but it seems the game will mostly use Nintendo theme songs and public domain music, including "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Yankee Doodle". Excited yet?
