Sony Ericsson has released three new mobile speaker kits for use on the road with cell phones and MP3 players. The smallest MPS-100 features two tiny 3.9" x 2.2" aluminum speakers that vaguely resemble crushed soda cans. They lock together for traveling, and can be separated and spaced out for stereo sound. The MPS-100 speakers connect to your phone or portable player via either a 3.5 mm line-in jack, or Sony Ericsson's Fast port connector. They draw power directly from your phone's battery, and are able to boost FM reception with a built in antenna.

The MBS-200 is a single 4.1" orb shaped speaker with a plastic enclosure. It connects to your phone or player via either line-in or A2DP Bluetooth, and features an OLED display capable of displaying track names and a built-in rechargeable battery. The MBS-400 is basically an MBS-200 with a second "slave" speaker for stereo, which is wired to the main speaker. The MPS-100, MBS-200, and MBS-400 will be available Q4, 2008.
