Martin Logan Feature Speakers Bring Their Own Power

Martin Logan is back with yet another new speaker - a self powered L/C/R called the Feature. The Feature is essentially a Matinee with a built-in "high resolution" 150 watt digital switching amplifier. It uses twin 5.25" woofers, an electrostatic panel for midrange frequencies, and a neodymium soft-dome tweeter, controlled by Martin Logan's signature Vojtko crossover.

The back panel houses both a low level RCA jack and high level speaker terminals, as well as a switch to adjust the speaker for on-wall or free standing placement. Martin Logan is quick to point out that the Feature is a "powered" rather than an "active" speaker, as it doesn't have an adjustable crossover. The other benefits of active speakers still apply though - the amp has been specifically designed for the speaker, and it can be driven directly out of any source with RCA outputs. The Feature is available now, priced at $1,695/ea.
