High-end music server maker Sooloos has released a new package called the Ensemble, which combines the functions of a Sooloos Store-series server and a Source-series playback module in a new single chassis, and includes their 17" Control:One touch screen user interface. A removable hard drive tray accepts SATA drives up to 1TB, allowing for storage of up to 2400 albums in lossless FLAC format. The Ensemble server includes four sets of analog outputs for sending music to up to four zones, an S/PDIF digital output, and an Ethernet port for connecting the system to a home network.

The Control:One control module features a slot loading CD drive and a USB port for ripping music, and displays cover art, lyrics, production credits, and lists of recommended artists. In addition to the touch screen, the system can also be controlled by home automation systems such as Crestron remotes, or the iPhone/iPod Touch. The Ensemble system is priced at $7,900.
