Denon has released the world's first "universal" Bluray player capable of CD/DVD/SACD/DVD-A/BR playback, called the DVD-A1UDCI. Denon's new flagship Bluray machine also features Bluray Profile 2.0 (BD Live) support with an Ethernet port and SD card slot for downloads from BD Live enabled discs, and a 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset capable of 1080p scaling to two different outputs at the same time. On the audio side, a new Advanced AL32 processor upscales 16 and 24-bit signals to 32-bit.

The DVD-A1UDCI's wealth of connection options includes stereo balanced and 7.1 channel single-ended analog outputs, optical and coaxial digital outputs, two HDMI outputs, and a new 4th generation Denon link interface which slaves the DVD-A1UDCI's clock to the compatible receiver's master clock, which Denon claims allows for near jitter free data transfer. The DVD-A1UDCI will be available in February for $3,800.
