JVC HP-DX700 Headphones

JVC has released a new headphone called the HP-DX700, which slots below their $1000 HP-DX1000 flagship. Like the DX-1000, the DX-700 features 50mm drivers sealed inside natural wooden enclosures. The DX-700 also looks almost exactly like its big brother, though for the DX700 JVC opted for a darker toned wood and a sleek, gunmetal gray headband.

Frequency response is rated at 5Hz - 30kHz, with 64 Ohm impedance and 101dB/mW sensitivity. The drivers are capable of handling up to 1.5 watts of power. The JVC HP-DX700 is currently available in Japan, priced at ¥65,000 ($730). They are unlikely to be available in the US through traditional retail outlets, but it's a good bet that AudioCubes will pick them up for those looking to acquire a pair.
