Paradigm SUB 12 and SUB 15 Subwoofers

Paradigm has released two new subwoofers in their Reference line, which replace the Seismic 12 and Servo-15. Called the SUB 12 and SUB 15, the new models borrow technology from Paradigm's recently released flagship SUB 25 and promise greater output and extension, with lower distortion. Both subs are powered by dual Class D amplifiers that deliver a combined 1700 watts RMS and 3400 watts of peak power.

The amplifiers are mounted on either side of a "T" shaped aluminum extrusion within the subwoofer enclosure, which is claimed to improve heat dissipation. The 12" driver in the SUB 12 and 15" driver in the SUB 15 are made from mineral-filled, co-polymer polypropylene, and feature Resonance Control Ribs, multi-layer polyurethane-composite elliptical-shaped surrounds, 3" high-temperature aluminum voice coils and 35lb. magnet assemblies. The SUB 12 and SUB 15 have balanced and single-ended low level inputs and a USB port which allows them to work with Paradigm's "Perfect Bass Kit" (PBK-1) acoustic EQ. Prices are $1,999 for the SUB 12, and $2,799 for the SUB 15.
