Anthem Statement D2v Surround Processor

Anthem has released a new version of their flagship Statement D2 surround sound processor, which is now called the D2v. The new D2v features an updated VXP video processing engine and ten of the latest HDMI 1.3c ports - eight inputs and two outputs, all of which support Deep Color, SACD/DVD-A, and Dolby/DTS HD over HDMI. On the audio side, two dual-core DSP engines capable of 800 MIPS (million instructions per second) handle surround decoding and processing, and Anthem Room Correction provides equalization.

Rather than trying to equalize all speakers for flat response, Anthem's room correction system uses proprietary processing to compute each speaker's in-room frequency response and then computes a target frequency response for each, which Anthem claims provides superior sound quality. The Statement D2v is priced at $7,499.
