Dynaudio Focus 110 A Active Speakers

The success of Dynaudio's MC 15 active desktop speakers has prompted the company to release an active version of their Focus 110 monitor, called the Focus 110 A. Unlike the MC 15 and Dynaudio's BM and AIR range of active monitors designed for professional near-field use, the Focus 110 A has been designed for use in conventional listening rooms. The Focus 110 A features a coated soft-dome tweeter and a MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) bass driver, each powered by a dedicated 50 watt amplifier.

The Focus 110 A keeps the bass, midrange, and treble EQ switches from the pro models, but uses an unbalanced RCA input rather than XLR for compatibility with most home equipment. The Focus 110 A is currently available in maple, cherry, rosewood, and black ash finishes, with high-gloss black and white to be added in April. The price is $2450/pr, an increase of $1050 over the passive Focus 110.
