McIntosh 60th Anniversary Amp and Preamp

To commemorate their 60th anniversary, McIntosh has released newly updated special editions of their MC75 monoblock tube amplifier (first released in 1961) and C22 preamplifier (first released in 1962). The amps and preamp will be sold together as a Limited Edition 60th anniversary "Classic System." The package also includes a special numbered version of McIntosh's book For The Love Of Music, signed by author Ken Kessler, McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman, and McIntosh President Charlie Randall.

The new Limited Edition MC75 offers circuit updates that improve reliability while retaining the sonic character of the original. It produces 75 watts into 2, 4, or 8 ohms, and is built on a triple-polished gold color titanium stainless steel chassis. Like the new MC75, the new C22 also includes a number of circuit enhancements to bring its performance in line with a modern line-stage. It features balanced inputs and outputs, a moving coil and moving magnet phono amplifier, and an IR remote control. McIntosh will produce 120 sets of the classic system for North America, priced at $15,000.
