Ballerina Sweetspot Audiophile Chair

What do you buy for the audiophile who has everything? How about a place to sit? The Ballerina Sweetspot audiophile listening chair aims to be the new ultimate in audiophile furniture. The chair was created by Swedish designer Jonas Rylander (no one does chairs like the Swedes) and audiophile Michael Hollesen for a company called Klutz Design.

The concept for the Ballerina Sweetspot started out as a simple chair with hollow armrests to hold remote controls. The designers then began to brainstorm about what features the ultimate audiophile chair would need, which lead to a narrow headrest designed to avoid rear-reflections, a low back, and vibration absorbing feet. The Ballerina Sweetspot is expected to be available in early 2010, priced at around $8000.

anyway, does putting the word "audiophile" in front of something always justify making it stupid ass expensive? an $8k chair? what? really? that's just stupid. i'll be plenty happy with a herman miller, a small table and removing a zero from my high end seating.
