Conrad Johnson ET3 Preamplifier

June 14, 2010 by Dave Kay

Conrad Johnson has released a new entry-level preamplifier called the ET3. The company claims that the ET3 is a scaled down version of their flagship GAT preamp, using a similar line-stage circuit comprised of a 6922 triode to supply voltage gain, and a MOSFET follower for ultra-low output impedance. The DC regulators and relay operated discrete level-control circuit are also very similar to those used in the GAT.

The ET3 provides six line-level inputs and a home theater bypass loop, and features polypropylene capacitors and precision metal film resistors. A "special edition" version with Teflon capacitors and Vishay resistors will also be available. The standard version is priced at $2500.
