The Most Expensive Car Audio System In The World ($259k)

Critical Mass' $259,000 CES5.1 Electrostatic Surround Sound System achieves an amazing feat by fitting electrostatic speakers that are usually very large into a small package for car audio use. All four seats in the vehicle get their own individual speakers (12 electrostatic speakers total) for their very own independent "Sound Stage" with left, right, and center channels. Two of the Critical Mass UL12 subwoofers are utilized for the low-end.

The electrostatic speakers are 24k gold plated and measure 2" high by 3" wide. Each system is custom designed for the specific vehicle and install time takes about 2-3 months total with an additional 3 months of tuning if needed. There will only be 10 of these systems ever made and installed. We aren't sure what number they are on, but you can still add one to your shopping cart on the site if you want. I wonder if they accept Paypal?
