Akuracy is Never Cheap

Accuracy has been at the top of Linn's priority list for the three decades of their existence, which is why it is only fitting that they would introduce their new Akurate Music System this year. The music system, as you may have guessed, includes two loudspeakers with a multi-format CD player for the source.

The Akurate Music System starts at $28,200 and includes the aforementioned speakers and CD player, which reads the four main listening formats: CD, DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD, and DTS Audio CD (only two of which are relevant with the amount of channels included). The amplification for the system includes a control center that is capable of decoding the latest Dolby and DTS surround formats (the same pre-amplifier that is included in their Akurate Movie System) and a 200-watt by two channel amplifier. Turntables are separate and will add from 6 to 18 thousand dollars to the system's cost depending on the model, the specifics on the tuner have not yet been released. For the film buff or surround music enthusiast, it would be almost necessary to fork out the nearly 50% extra for the Akurate Movie System; but for pure two-channel listening, the music system will get you a long way.
