From Italy With Love

July 19, 2007 by Lukas Gilkey

The guys at Hi-Fi Center in Italy have been hard at work with their newest creation in the Sigma line, the Labor Limae. These 2-way bass reflex loudspeakers look absolutely stunning with their carbon fiber enclosures and bright red elastic suspension. Currently each pair is hand made and includes the aluminum stand with marble base (which also houses the crossover). The carbon fiber cabinet is 4mm thick and molded into a parabloid shape.

The tweeter being used is the Eton ER 4, which is a version of the AMT (Air Motion Transformer) that was created by the late Dr. Heil. The 7" woofer is made by Eton as well and features a "Hexacone" membrane for high structural rigidity. Recommended power is 100 watts per side with an impedence of 6ohms, and a fequency response of 45Hz to 22kHz (+/- 3dB).

Check out this slick matching "POWER" amplifier as well.

Pricing is being determined and they are currently seeking a distributor in the United States.
