Grundig's New Trio of Personal Media Players

Pictured above is Grundig's new MPixx 7000 Series MPEG4 personal media player. There are two models in the 7000 series, the 7200 (2GB) and the 7400 (4GB). The 7000 Series has an assload of cool features including:

- High-contrast 2.4 inch TFT display (262,000 colors)
- Blue illuminated touchpad
- Integrated loudspeaker
- Micro SD card slot
- Two earphone connections
- Brushed aluminum housing
- Integrated FM radio
- Ability to program up to 25 radio stations
- Can record radio to MP3 format at the touch of a button
- Reads ID3 tags
- USB 2.0 connection
- WMA-DRM9/10 compatible
- Lithium-polymer battery with an operating time of over 20 hours
- USB charging unit is supplied for recharging from a PC




Next up is the new MPixx 4100 that has an even larger 3.5" TFT display. The 4100 has nearly identical features as the 7000 series, but only comes with 1GB of flash memory. It does accept up to a 4GB SD card to boost its memory size though.


All three will be available this October with pricing as follows:
Grundig MPixx 4100/1GB: ~$200
Grundig MPixx 7200/2GB Fine Arts: ~$200
Grundig MPixx 7400/4GB Fine Arts: ~$240
