Japanese audio perfectionists, Feastrex, have announced a new line of paper cone drivers called the 9-series. The series introduces the 9th generation of Japanese paper drivers that supposedly offer more resolution than any other full-range driver. The 9-series is an update to the company’s 5-series, which is composed of three hand-made 4.75" full-range drivers with different magnet assemblies. The 5-series drivers can achieve a frequency response of 35-23,000 Hz while handling 15W of power. The 9-series will include the D9 natur-flux, D9 Monster Alnico, D9e Field Coil, and PB9 Passive Radiator. Although not much is known about the 9-series yet, Feastrex’s past indicates the series will sound like nothing you’ve heard before.
