The Jazzmutant Lemur is a fully programmable, multi-touch display for creating, mixing, and sequencing music. The device features a modular interface editor that allows for the creation of virtual control panels like sliders, faders, dials, keyboards, or just about anything you can think of.

The Lemur can interface with any MIDI recording software package, such as ProTools, Logic, or Cubase; and it’s also compatible with the new OpenSoundControl standard. In addition, it can connect to a network via an Ethernet port, which allows for greater throughput and flexibility than traditional MIDI devices. The Lemur comes out of the box with a variety of control panel templates, but there is also a growing user community to take advantage of. The Lemur is available now for a price tag of $3,000, which seems like a bargain considering the endless possibilities of such a device.
