Critical Mass C522 Component Speaker Set
Filed under: Car Audio > Speakers
The C522 component speaker set from Critical Mass Audio can start a chain reaction of great sound. The 5.25" woofer features a woven carbon/glass fiber cone, a 2.25" voice-coil, and a powerful inverted "NEO" motor structure for shallow depth mounting.
High frequencies are passed to the 30mm soft dome tweeter via a bi-ampable 24dB/octave crossover. Power handling is rated at 175 watts continuous and 350 watts peak, with 92dB/W/m sensitivity.
Price: $835

I see a lot of CM stuff being posted about as far as professional reviews, but the price tag on them means I'll never hear nor hear of anyone having them. :thmbdwn:

How do you like the UL12? I still haven't had the chance to see or hear one in person.

I'm curious as well. I read the CAMag review on it. I have limited respect for that magazine (IE hardly any), but they seemed to have went bananas over it and I was at least curious in it. But with such a ridiculous price tag, not going to happen any where near me.

best sub i've ever had the opportunity to hear. I currently have it in a 1.1 cube sealed 1.5" mdf box. The only thing i've heard come even close to it were my old ppi pros from back in the day.
i wished i had ordered it without the silk screen on the cone, it would be so much sexier without it.
camag is supposed to review the ul-a800 amp at some point.. at least thats what the cm rep told me.
