Onkyo’s HT-SP908 home theater consists of a high quality AV receiver, upconverting DVD player, seven full range speakers, a powered subwoofer and an interactive iPod dock. The system utilizes the popular 7.1 TX-SR605 AV receiver; which includes 1080p HDMI 1.3a, Dolby and DTS AV standards, XM and Sirius satellite radio and Audyssey’s acoustic calibration technology.

For video playback, the system includes Onkyo’s DV-SP405 five disc DVD player; which is capable of converting DVDs up to 1080p through its HDMI output. For audio playback, the system includes seven 90 watt satellites with two 3-1/8” woofers and a 1” tweeter per cabinet; while the low end is handled by a 10” subwoofer powered by a 230 watt internal amplifier. This speaker setup allows the HT-SP908 to kick your ass while also delivering a frequency response of 25-50,000 Hz. The HT-SP908 is available now with a price tag of just $1099, which should allow anyone to easily achieve their own AV nirvana.

Also available is the HT-SP904, which is a 5.1 version of the above system for $899.
