Audiophile Grade SACD Player and Preamp from Yamaha

Audio component manufacturer, Yamaha, recently announced a new SACD player and preamp combination that marries quality components with an aesthetic design. The CD-S2000 SACD player and A-S2000 preamplifier supposedly combine only the highest quality components, which allow the combo to pure, unadulterated audio. In addition, Yamaha separated each subsystem to eliminate the possibility of interference between various signals in an audio system.

The pair can output SACD/CD and MP3/WMA audio with 190 watts per channel over a frequency range of 20-20,000 Hz. However, I believe the most unique feature of this pair is its external design; its simple lines and minimalist design make me think Yamaha has been looking over the shoulders of Apple designers. Unfortunately, if you want this combo you will have to wait till December and be willing to shell out $3,400 for the pair.

the amp looks just like a simplified version of my vintage Yamaha CA-800. if only these were sold in the US
