To say the Mobius MKII looks different than most loudspeakers would be an understatement. And don't let the pictures fool you, the Mobius MKII stands approximately 38" tall. The loudspeaker uses four drivers in its 8" bipolar array that sits atop the speaker to produce 360 degrees of sound. The orb houses two 1" silk dome tweeters and a pair of 6" midbass drivers with neodymium motors mounted back to back.

More after the jump.

The front firing custom made subwoofer (will be 10"-12" in size) is ported through the tail section of the enclosure providing a frequency response down to 20Hz. First order crossovers are used and on the top end, the Mobius MKII will play up to 20kHz. A variety of high-quality metallic and piano finishes will be available and the expected release date is in the Spring of 2008 with the possibility that the Mobius MKII will make an appearance at CES.

The retail price will be about $10k-$15k and an exact price is still to be determined at this point.
