Cowon A3 Makes Its Korean Debut

Cowon’s replacement for their A2 personal media player called, sensibly enough, the A3, is scheduled to hit Korea today. The A3 features a 4” screen with 800x480 resolution, FM radio and MPEG-4 video recording. The device supports MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG, AAC, and AC3 audio playback, DivX, Xvid, Mpeg4, WMV9/8/7, and H.264 video playback.

The A3 also has 720p HD output, and critically, UMS support for Windows/Mac/Linux compatibility. Prices are ₩349,000 ($387) for the 30GB version and ₩419,000 ($465) for the 60GB version, which will most likely undercut their upcoming X7 with its much sexier 7” touch screen interface.
