Floating Concert Hall / Ski Boat

On MTX’s Rides webpage is a rather unusual “ride”, Roy Baker’s 1986 Sanger low profile ski boat. A custom made tower holds eighteen 6x9 speakers, fourteen 6.5” speakers, two 5.25” coaxial drivers and two tweeters. In the hull are four 12” subwoofers, four TE1004 amplifiers to drive the main speakers, and a 1500 watt stereo amplifier to drive the subwoofers. The 40 speaker audio system is powered by eight gel batteries, and a bit of old fashioned craziness.

It has only one purpose, to say that they did it. Im sure it gets loud, but first off who in their right mind needs that much spl and second i wonder how long it takes to empty the batteries.

I think that having just the woofers out at sea would be fun.
But the other things would seem too loud IMO.
