TEAC Esoteric is celebrating its 20th year of offering impeccably high quality A/V components by releasing a new top of the line SACD player. The X-05 was designed without compromise to be a CD player capable of reproducing a signal with the least amount of distortion possible. In order to accomplish this, TEAC has redesigned the CD player from the ground up with a high precision turntable disc drive system, a highly adjustable spindle mechanism and a new pickup system that is always on axis to the disc.

In addition, TEAC has incorporated a quieter loading mechanism, a 24-bit 192kHz DAC and a highly isolated dual-mono amp configuration. A CD player with a level of precision this high is not cheap, the X-05 will retail for about $5,000 when it is released in January.
