One of the World's Sexiest Speakers just got a matching center channel. Perfect8 has announced their new $40,000 FORCE glass and gold center channel to compliment their $277,000 FORCE loudspeakers. For a surround setup, Perfect8 recommends using the FORCE loudspeakers as mains with the FORCE center, and their POINT loudspeakers for the rear channels. When it is all said and done that would easily be a half-million dollar surround sound setup.

The top section of the FORCE center speaker that houses the midranges and tweeter can be adjusted to the optimum position for 4:3 and 16:9 viewing formats as well as 5-channel audio. The FORCE center speaker houses two modified 7" MG-cone drivers, two modified 5.25" MG-cone drivers and a 28mm silk dome tweeter with a precision wave guide.

Perfect8 FORCE Center Channel Specs:

Sensitivity: 87dB SPL at 1m
Impedance: 4 ohms
Freq. Response: 35-34,000Hz (+/- 2dB)
Recommended Power: 200 watts
Recommended Room Size: 20-200m^2
Size: 14" wide x 32" tall x 22" deep

That is one hell of a center channel. It makes the Von Schweikert Visiun Signature at $11K seem downright affordable.
