KEF has announced several new models to fill its burgeoning “KIT” range of HTIBs (home theater in a box). The KIT120 (~$2,450) is a 2.1 channel system, featuring table stand monitors and a subwoofer. The monitors use a single Uni-Q concentric driver, augmented with NXT radiators on the side panels to disperse sound into the room and act as virtual center and surround speakers. The KIT140 (~$3,050) and the KIT160 (~$4,050) are built around the same concept, with floorstanding speakers using seven and eleven total drivers, respectively.

The KIT510 (~$2,650), KIT520 (~$3,050), and KIT530 (~$3,450) are all 5.1 sat/sub systems which use KEF’s egg shaped satellites, with a “dedicated center channel” (one of the satellites is turned on its side).

The 510 uses 7.5cm Uni-Q drivers, the 520 uses 10cm drivers, and the 530 uses 11.5cm drivers. Finally, the KIT540 (~$4,050) and the KIT550 (~$5,100) are “flat panel friendly” systems with slim wall-mountable towers and center channels, with the 540 using a Uni-Q driver and a single 7.5cm bass driver, and the 550 using a Uni-Q driver and four bass drivers.

KEF will also introduce wireless versions of the KIT530 and KIT540 systems, called the KIT570W and the KIT580W, which will feature wireless rear speakers.
