XTZ Room Analyzer

The trusty SPL meter is fine for setting speaker levels, but quite useless when it comes to adjusting crossovers, or placing sound absorption panels, which is where XTZ’s Room Analyzer comes in. XTZ’s software combined with the USB microphone provides frequency response measurement with real time analysis from 16Hz to 20kHz, a room analyzer for finding room modes (peaks and valleys in response caused by room interaction), and reverb analysis.

The USB microphone provides a direct digital connection to the software, bypassing the often noisy soundcard microphone input. The software package will be available in January for about $300 (200 Euros).

Stay tuned on this, we got offered one for review and I'll try to work it out so we can give it away afterwards.
