Travagan Green

Travagan is a young upstart company from Taiwan that specializes in designing professional quality audio products. One of their first products, the Green, is an amp and speaker combo designed for use with computers. The single-driver speakers have frequency response of 180Hz to 20kHz -3dB and are available in black, red, blue and yellow. The amp is a combination DAC, power amp, and headphone amplifier which is driven by a USB port. The Class AB amplifier with 16-bit DAC is capable of outputting 80mW and 5W for the power and headphone amplifiers, respectively. In addition, the operational amplifiers are exchangeable to allow custom tuning of the system.

Cardinal rule for when your product is less than stellar - add hot chick. You'll never see a lady in a skimpy outfit caressing a pair of Mark Levinson monoblocks or Wilson speakers. Certainly the idea of listening to music on a pair of speakers that start heavily rolling off at 180hz does not get me excited. So bring on something else that does.
