Magic Home Entertainment of Colorado has partnered with Gracenote (formerly known as CDDB) and has utilized Gracenote’s MusicID, Playlist, and cover art database technology in their new “moodSeer” home music server. MHE refers to their system as a “GPS for music aficionados”, so instead of finding the nearest Burger King, it will find the nearest John Coltrane album.

The system is comprised of the “moodCenter” main storage module, the “moodSpot” individual room players, and the “moodBeamer” hand-held touch screen remote control. The user simply selects the listening mood they are in, and the system searches the library and begins playback of mood appropriate music. The system works wired or wirelessly, and can store up to 40,000 in lossless format.
