NonameHifi Cable Lifters are designed to keep the loudspeaker; power and long run interconnect cables off of floored surfaces.
The Reason:
All materials get resonated by sound energy, particularly the floors and the ceilings of the listening room. Long cables come in contact with a wide variety of flooring surfaces such as loudspeaker, interconnects of monoblocks or power cables. They will pick up floor resonance and vibrate as well. Vibration of a cable has the same constraints as the electronic component "Distorted Signal". Another fact of contacting floor is the static energy accumulation of the floors, particularly the carpeted floors. Static energy of the floor may be easily evident by a simple pen-tester sold in Radio Shacks. Portion of such static charge is transferred to shielding of cable and then transferred to electronic unit and distorts the original signal. NonameHifi Cable Lifters are designed to lift up the cables off the floor safely and nicely. They may fill in sand for extra stable contact. NonameHifi recommends half of them to be filled by sand. NonameHifi Cable Lifters are made of porcelain (not ceramic) and coloured in black. So they will disappear under the cables. Lifters are 12 centimeters high from floor surface an entirely made by hand by porcelain.
What improvements should be expected?
NonameHifi Cable Lifters are designed to improve the performance of good high end audio and video systems. They will particularly reduce bass boom. Therefore better articulation of bass, low level details, opening of midrange and treble will be immediately evident.
